Hawk Hill Learning Community is an activity and learning space to support Western North Carolina unschooling and homeschooling families who are dedicated to self-directed education. 

We provide programs that support the educational and social needs of area homeschooling and unschooling families and others exploring alternative ways of learning and being in community.

Hawk Hill Learning Community is one of many projects being formed all over the country by educators and families who know the power of play, the benefits of exploration, and the importance of a child's sense of freedom.  At Hawk Hill we fill our days with the best offerings we can find, but also build a thriving and interdependent culture with the help and creativity of our kids. 

Our facilitators have extensive experience in kid-centered experiential learning grounded in play and exploration. We are working with other adults who offer classes like pottery and robotics.
